- Richard Thomson
- After a few years working in the financial sector, I jumped the fence and now work as a political researcher. After a spell as Head of Campaigns at SNP HQ, I worked in the Scottish Parliament as a researcher. I then spent a year in Westminster before returning to Scotland. I now live and work in Aberdeenshire. When not working, I play the fiddle (when it suits) in various ceilidh bands, and write for the 'Scots Independent' Newspaper and website.

I'm sure Mr Excitment is preparing his bid to become our first minister.
You've got to laugh.
He's exhausted after issuing his mantra to the media in the past 24 hours - "the SNP is arrogant and behaving with reckless brinkmanship". After I heard it for the 6th time I stopped counting.
His replacement wasn't any better. They seem to roll him out like Foulkes when they need a labour Scot.
